Engineering...

This has been by far the most challenging prep piece I have done yet!
The Facade of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, (pronounced: Paah-rwee)
We started like always, with a bodysketch and tracing, then I told my client
(after a brief break to MOVE THE ENTIRE STUDIO IN LESS THAN A WEEK)
I started putting the details into the overlay...
I knew it was going to be complicated from the beginning, but about 4-5 hours into prep, I was sitting there wondering what I'd taken on!
And that is just to DRAW it!
It bewilders me the number of man-hours that must have gone into this thing!
All in all, i think it is going be an amazing piece!
As the prep stretched I called Ms. Na to re-confirm- she is all systems go and so am I!
Can't wait to ink this design tommorrow :)

A day in the life...

Tuned up all my machines and did some courtesy calls for this weekend's sessions...Its shaping up to be a good weekend :)

Checked out a new studio space today!! It is going to need a lot of work, but It is on par with what I've envisioned for the past several years... today felt like a lucky day.
